Simon Raab, artist from Santa Barbara, uses his art to question the rationale for war. Raab believes that the most important and consequential purpose of art is to question and examine social issues.
The recent discussions of military intervention in the Middle East has inspired a visual anti-war statement in Raabs preferred medium which he calls Parleau. Parleau is created using multiple layers of translucent polymers on metal, which is then sculpted into an abstract relief.
Climate Change is an art-full display of political and social perspectives embracing the past, present and future state of affairs through various mediums. The Parleau Words Should Count is part of the exhibition Political Climate Change at the E Gallery in Brooklyn, NY from September 13 to October 27, 2013.
